Our Trip To Galveston!

A few months ago Nehemiah decided he wanted to go to an Astros game! So we talked to Dad, Julie, Ben, & Savannah and they were all on board and we decided to make it a long weekend in Galveston as well! Fast forward to this past week and everyone decided that the Astros game wasn't as high as a priority as we originally thought, and then they did AMAZING this weekend! haha

But anyway, Julie worked super hard and found us an amazing beach house big enough for us all to have our own bedrooms... even Ella got her own room! It was SO nice and right on the beach! We loved just being able to walk to and from the beach anytime we wanted!

We headed to Galveston Thursday afternoon! We had a nice little drive and then had a BLAST on the ferry! Ella LOOOOOVED looking at the "wa-wa" and asking "what's that?" about every little thing she saw! We also fed the seagulls and it was hilarious! I saw a random person in their vehicle videoing us so I know it had to look as funny as it seemed!

Had to get a selfie on our way! Also, don't you just love when your face is as white as the border around your picture?

"Mama, what's that?"

On, Saturday morning we woke up to a thunderstorm that brought lots and lots of rain! As soon as it stopped, Paw-Paw & Ella were out the door and in the puddles! Then they went right on down to the beach... in Ella's diaper! haha I brought Ella her swimsuit so we could at least get a cute picture... because, duh, we need cute pictures!

Playing in the "wawa!"

In heaven! She was literally screaming, "WAWA!"

I love these pictures!! She has those two WRAPPED around her fingers!!!

Cora was just so sleepy so her & Paw-Paw came back to the beach house for a nap!
I'm not sure what was happening here... but I'm sure Ella was involved!

After we all took naps and got ready we headed to Moody Garden's to check out the Rainforest Pyramid! It was really neat and really hot! haha Ella loved seeing all the birds just walking around. She tried to hold them and literally walked up to them with her arms out saying "hold you!"
At one point we were about to go through some doors into an air conditioned area (Praise the Lord!) and there was a Moody Garden's employee standing a few feet away from a monkey, who was just laying on the ground taking a nap. Ella spotted him and at first she was just content to stare at him, BUT THEN she decided she wanted to HOLD HIM. She started saying, "HOLD YOU!" So I said, "No, we can't hold the monkey." I was hoping the nice employee would say, "No,  you can't hold the monkey, but you can pet the monkey while I hold him!" But no, haha, she just said no. So Ella started throwing a FIT. haha So we quickly disappeared into the air conditioning. The rest of our Moody Garden's trip was pretty quick because a certain someone never got over the monkey. lol

She wanted to hold that bird real bad. haha

Both of my girls!!

A Butterfly almost landed on her back!

After we left Moody Garden's we headed to the Rainforest Cafe! We rode the really cool river ride inside and then Ella made a super cute monkey at Build-a-Bear! We named her Georgia after one of her favorite shows, Curious George!

Waiting patiently for her monkey, Georgia!

Ella & B checking out the tree!

Cora was ALL ABOUT the aquarium at The Rainforest Cafe. She loved watching the fish!!

Ella wasn't about to let go of me while this frog was around... haha

After our dinner at The Rainforest Cafe, we headed home and we all went straight to the beach! Ella and Nehemiah played in the water while we all watched! We stayed until it got dark and then headed back inside!

Hanging out on the beach!

So happy in her little red wagon!

Group shot on the beach!

Daddy & Ella enjoying the beach!

On Saturday we went back to the beach, napped, then headed to Bass Pro Shops! We had a great day!

This girl was LOVING the wind on the balcony that afternoon!

You can't go to the beach without attempting a family photo session! Ella was NOT ok with being this close to the "wawa" without being in it!! Photo Credit: Benny Bear aka B! PS: We have got to work on our family of four poses!!

I walked up on Nehemiah & Ella at Bass Pro and this is what I found...

Cora LOVED the aquarium at the restaurant at Bass Pro!
On Sunday morning we woke up, packed, and headed to breakfast at the San Luis Resort. The cream cheese filled crepes were to die for!! Amazing! After breakfast we headed back to the ferry for one last seagull feeding and family picture! We had such a great time in Galveston and we can't wait to go back! Special thanks to Dad & Julie for everything they did for us all that weekend! The girls were extremely spoiled but so were Nehemiah and I! We love y'all!

On the ferry on our way home!
