28 Weeks Update! {Third Trimester!}

Third Trimester!! I am so behind on blogging and totally haven't taken a belly picture since 20 weeks... Oooooops.

How far along? 28 Weeks!! 12 Weeks to go!!

Size of baby? The size of an eggplant!

Maternity clothes? Mostly leggings, boots, scarves, and huge shirts. haha Lots of outfit repeating going on...

Stretch marks? Not sure if I have new ones or just the original ones!

Sleep? Sleeping GREAT but exhausted all day everyday. Just part of being pregnant... I told Nehemiah that I'm not going to wish to not be pregnant so I can not be exhausted, and just be thankful that when I am tired now, I can sleep. Because I know all too well, that when Miss Cora gets here, that's when the REAL exhaustion shows up. haha

New symptoms? Absolutely nothing. So thankful!

Fun moments this week? 

• My mom, Ella, and I went to my Dr.'s appointment last week and we got to hear Cora's heartbeat. Such a sweet sound! But again, Ella did not like seeing my lying on the table and the nurse touching my belly! So precious!

• And call me crazy, but after all the holiday fast paced days, I was SO happy to see Monday morning roll around so we could start our routine and get ready for Cora!! Organization, Simplicity, and Routine are my friends these days!

• Also, after being so super busy since, literally, Thanksgiving, we enjoyed this past weekend so much. We barely left the house... once for grocery shopping & once for church... Amazing. We enjoyed just being home, cleaning up, playing games, and watching movies. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I'm declaring tonight another movie night after little Miss Ella is in bed. 

Checkers & Chinese Checkers... Nehemiah beat me in Checkers and we pretty much messed up Chinese Checkers. lol
Also, we watched Hitch that night, and Nehemiah totally danced to Yeah when Albert danced! And that's a cheeto in his mouth! lol... He's the best! 

Taking a family walk on Saturday... Ella loooved it!

But I'm pretty sure the puddles were her favorite part.... See here... 

Packed away all of our Christmas decorations and even had to add a whole new box just for Ella's room decorations... ooooops!

Playing at her cool magnet board with her awesome magnets!! Aunt Becky got her set up!

Food cravings? Milk Chocolate & Caramel Ghirardelli Squares & Ice cold water! AND Frozen Yogurt!

Things I miss: Being able to do anything without getting out of breath. Nehemiah called me the other day and I had just come inside from bringing the outside trash can back to the house from the end of the driveway and I was breathing HARD, and Nehemiah was like, "Are you Ok?" haha, I was fine, just had to breathe.

Movement? All the time, but especially after I devour some of the aforementioned chocolate. haha

Weight Gain: It's happening... But my doctor said I was right on track. Which was so nice to hear (especially after the holidays), because when I was pregnant with Ella, he told me that I was gaining too much. Ooooops.

Signs of Labor: No.

Exciting Accomplishments this week: Getting our Christmas Decorations down!! (Now if only my sweet husband would get them in the attic!!)  And even though it's not an accomplishment, playing games with our friends! We typically have a game night every couple of weeks or at least once a month, and it's SO much fun! I look forward to it so much! Nerts is our favorite and I used to be undefeated... but, yea, I'm working on getting my title of champion back. haha

Looking Forward to:

•  I've never been one to get all excited about my birthday, but I have already decided/planned that I'm eating sushi, going see American Sniper (probably going to cry my eyes out), and eating frozen yogurt with friends the weekend after my birthday! I'm so looking forward to it and counting down the days!

• My next appointment is also the week after my birthday, and I THINK we'll be having an ultrasound, so that will be an AWESOME birthday present to see little Cora on the screen! My doctor said he would try to get some really good photos of her sweet face!!! eeeeeeeeek!

• (side note: I've been thinking a lot lately about what Cora will look like, and it's so funny, but I honestly just think she's going to look just like Ella! But I know that is not going to happen, so then I'm like, I have NO idea who she will look like!! We still have the hardest time saying who Ella looks like!!)

• Also, my sister in law Janet and brother in law Brian, are expecting their first child this summer!!! We are so excited!!!! Our children are going to be so close in age and grow up right next door to each other!! ANDDDD we get to find out if they're having a girl or a boy really soon!!!!!! I can't wait!! 

Funny Stories: Two Facts about me... I HATE when people change plans, especially at the last minute and I have two (Texas) Country music artists that I LOVE... Cody Johnson & Aaron Watson.
They both played in Beaumont this past week!! I couldn't talk Nehemiah or any of our friends into going see Cody Johnson, so instead we played games! But I finally talked Nehemiah (with the help of our friend Ethan) into going see Aaron Watson and I was so excited!! I even had a new dress to wear!! Then.... I realized how exhausted I was and started thinking about how late we would be getting in and how long I would have to stand to see Aaron sing... and how bad my feet already hurt that day after my doctor appointment and shopping in Lake Charles with my mom & Ella.... So when Nehemiah got home, he was all excited and had invited friends... and yea.... I told him I didn't want to go. He was so laid back and just said, Ok. We don't have to. He's awesome... I can't say I would have been that easy going about a last minute change of plans (actually, I know I wouldn't have been :( )... but I am so thankful he was! So we stayed home, put Ella to bed, and did the next best thing that you can do when you're missing one of your favorite country artists in concert... watch Pure Country, of course!!! Ole Dusty put on a great show in our living room!! haha Gotta love being pregnant and exhausted!
