Wedding Festivities Part 1: Bachlorette Party

Our wedding week was one of the best (and fastest!) weeks of my life. I don’t want to forget a single detail of all the fun it entailed! I already wish we could go back and do it all again… but this time in slow motion. I had so much fun and I want to share my memories with you and also keep them documented so I never forget the wonderful times I had!

(These next few blog posts will definitely be special & specific memories to myself & Nehemiah. Sorry if they are boring… but I hope you enjoy it!)

My bridesmaids were Emilie Gorman (Matron of Honor and my lifelong BFF!!), Becky Efferson (one of my very best friends and the best aunt in the world!), Janet Phelps (my fabulous Sister-in-Law and the sister I never had but always wanted!).
Emilie lives in Arkansas, Aunt Becky in Tennessee, and Janet in DeRidder.
On Wednesday afternoon Emilie flew in to Lake Charles and as soon as I got off of school (and avoided a small disaster of getting our marriage license… Thank you Beauregard Parish Clerk of Court Office!!)

I picked up Emilie at my mom’s house and the catching up began immediately!!!!!!!! We spent the night at Dad and Julie’s house. We could barely go to sleep because we had so much to catch up on. I mean Em is about to be a mom and I was about to become Mrs. Loftin! Those are some big deals!!
On Thursday we woke up, ran errands, and then waited patiently for Janet & Aunt Becky to get in to town! As soon as they got there we loaded up my car and headed to Lake Charles to begin our night of girl fun! 



We went straight to L’Auberge hotel & casino, checked into our room, and started getting ready for our night.

We ate dinner at Casa Manana and met up with Aunt Ann, Katy, & my fabulous friend Kristi! We had a blast!!!!  There was a Marachi Band playing that night and they were hilarious!!! They kept coming over to our table and playing “Happy Birthday” to me! Haha… We were like… it’s totally not my birthday… but whatever!!

Afterwards, we headed back to L’Auberge for more girl fun! Em, Aunt Becky, & Janet had completely transformed our room into a pink heaven! They went all out in such a short amount of time!!! Katy brought cupcakes that she decorated at work!! It was so much fun!!

That night we crashed and then woke up the next morning and ran some more errands and got much needed pedicures & manicures. So fun & so relaxing!!! I actually got to answer a million texts & return thousands of phone calls!!
