South Toledo Bend State Park
Another weekend of camping and making memories! And we got to mark another state park off of our list! South Toledo Bend State Park... and I'll be honest, it will be hard to camp without the deck we had at our site this weekend! We also lucked out that we were directly across from the playground AND our site had a floating dock... so we LOVED this site and campground! OH... and it's an hour from our house... so it's a big win! I'm ready to go back!
We camped with friends this weekend and we took a TON of pictures... so be warned! haha
I LOVE this picture! Even with Luke's grouchy face! |
We loved being so close to the playground!!
This deck was so much fun to have! Super helpful with kids and just keeping things clean!
We camped with our friends Sonia & Jonathan and their boys! Our friends Molly & Reggy were planning to camp too but they were under the weather. Reggy and the boys were able to come play all day Saturday! We missed Molly! We will have to do it again once baby #3 gets here in just a few more weeks!!!!
Checking out the floating dock as soon as we arrived Friday night!!
Excited and tired but we had to make a campfire!
Saturday morning before the kids got up I got to go on a solo bike ride! The lake was beautiful!
Breakfast Time! And I never noticed Luke had my coffee LOL
At the dock in their pajamas! What a life! I love this picture!!!
This might be my new favorite picture of my favorite guys!
GORGEOUS! I love the sun on her face and I never want to forget her beautiful smile just as it is right now!
Sweet sisters!
Sonia & Jonathan made pancakes, bacon, & sausage for breakfast and it was DELICIOUS!
Working on Luke's bike! Nehemiah is such a good daddy. He's so patient and always shows Luke how to fix things. It's adorable!
After breakfast we headed to the beach!
Sweet girl! She was such a good sport about not swimming this weekend... she has a spot on her knee we are treating and it didn't need to get in the lake water and she didn't miss a beat! She happily played in the sand!
This boy! Someone gave us this swim shirt and it's a size 12... he wears a 4T... lol but he loves it... so it's a swim dress!
When your best friend shows up!
Biking to the beach!
Double Trouble!
Played poker, with leaves, against these two... pretty sure I beat them if I remember correctly!
Pigtails, dirt on her nose, and a cup of rollie pollies! I don't think she could be cuter!
Fishing Time!
After lunch we decided to try out a little hike! We hiked the Eagle's Nest Trail... I don't think any of us would recommend it. There were no signs and the trail lead to a dead end... lol So that was a bummer... but we had fun anyway!
Nehemiah had us all stop and guess what kind of tree this was... His clues were: you can make file' out of it, you can make root beer out of it, it's sassy... and I think there were more corny jokes... lol... My favorite part is mine and Reggy's face... not impressed with his game. hahaha
You can't really tell but this was a little cliff...
Snack time on the way back!
Owen helping me get the camera set up for our group picture!
Blurry picture but a fun hike! Just missing Molly!!
Smore's time!
The girls made a new friend! They swapped addresses so they could write each other a letter!
Such a fun weekend!
Sleepy but happy kids headed home!
We came home, unpacked, and started the week with a stomach virus going through our house. SO FUN. We're all recovering now!
We're ready for our next trip over Memorial Day weekend to Palmetto Island State Park with some of our besties!!
