Our First Camper Trip [Chicot State Park]
I haven't updated my blog in forever... but this felt necessary to document... because, WE GOT A CAMPER. We started tent camping this past year and truly loved it but that only made us (ME!) want a camper more than before... haha. So we finally decided to get one and we are HOOKED.
We broke it in this weekend with friends at Chicot State Park! We tent camped at Chicot in October, so it felt like the perfect place to try out our camper for the first time! Also, Nehemiah found a new boudin spot last on our first trip to Chicot, so we had to hit that up again!
Super thankful for The Smiths! We can all roll with the craziness of 7 kids and we can ALWAYS find the humor in the absolutely mind blowing scenarios that we get into with SEVEN kids between us! haha
We all woke up on Monday morning ready to book the next trip! LETS GO!!!
One of the funniest moments of our weekend was when some sweet person gave our crew THREE glowsticks... but we have SEVEN kids... So if you know you know... that was a problem! Literally all of them were screaming for a glowstick and Kaitlyn looked at me and said "What do we do?!" I said "We go give them back!! We tell her we have SEVEN KIDS and you only gave us THREE GLOWSTICKS!! You tried to bless us but it backfired!" HAHA we were joking but honestly we wanted to go give them back! LOL Kaitlyn added glowsticks to the camping list real quick! haha
We can't wait to make many more memories!!!! Our kids are so excited and Nehemiah and I are so thankful that we get to make such sweet memories while our kids still want to! lol
We all decided what our favorite parts of our weekend were:
Ella- being with her friends and riding bikes
Cora- getting her telescope and celebrating her birthday
Luke- playing in the big hole
Nehemiah- learning about our camper and the setting up/breaking down process
Courtney- drinking coffee and camping with friends
We have a ton of places we want to go camping but we do have a goal of staying at all of the Louisiana State Parks! laissez le bon temps rouler!
